Download Festival fans gobbled up more than 2TB of data in three days over intechnologyWiFi’s free WiFi network
Over 90,000 fans took advantage of the seamless, ‘always on’, free WiFi coverage provided by intechnologyWiFi at the recent Download Festival (12–14 June), with the network serving up over 2 terabytes (TB) of data over the three days. That’s the equivalent of 11 million photos, 200,000 high-quality videos, or over 25 million tweets!
With loyal music and festival fans itching to share and promote their experiences online in real-time at the UK’s most popular rock and heavy metal music festival, intechnologyWiFi equipped them with access to completely free, high-speed internet, without time or bandwidth limitations.
Download was the first of four summer festivals intechnologyWiFi will provide its seamless free WiFi solution to this year, the others being Latitude Festival in July, and Reading Festival and Creamfields in August. This enviable line-up of festivals secured for 2015 reflects the significant experience intechnologyWiFi gained at similar events last year.
